So This is The New Year...

Marill
On the road, January 2012

Whew! 2012 is over, which means I successfully lived 16 hours away from my husband for a year AND didn't wear pants once the entire year! Let's review how I did on last year's resolutions.

One :: Go an entire year without wearing pants.  I owned that resolution. And loved doing it. I dunno if I will go back to pants, or at least not purchase another pair again.

Two :: Tighten up the body. I actually did pretty well on this, but am still working. I found that Blogilates has helped immensely.

Three :: Die my hair darker, again. I did this. A lot.

Four :: Casual 365 Project Well I totally didn't do that. And am glad I didn't.

Five :: Combine My Blogs I did import posts from my previous two blogs, but have reverted many posts to drafts due to the content not really fitting Of Corgis & Cocktails. You can still find a lot of the wedding posts back in the archives.

So this year's resolutions? What are they? Well, the main and most important one is one that I won't be sharing with you unless it happens, which I seriously hope that it does.

One :: The Husband Approved Wardrobe Every purchase towards my wardrobe I make will either be picked out by Jason or approved by him. I will fight him less on certain dresses he likes and give up the fight for anything with glitter. There is one exception. Or 3. I will get 3 passes for things, with glitter especially.

Two :: Continue being healthy. Jason and I have been doing workouts together and making a lot of our meals. Being together has made this easier!

Three :: We'll just have to see how this one works out!

That's really it for this year! This post just features some random images I don't think ever made it to the blog from this past year. What are your resolutions or rather challenges for the year? I like to think of these more as challenges to myself.

  3. Way to go on your resolutions! Wow, a year without pants...I can't fathom it; so impressive. As for my challenges, I've decided to run a race this year which is a biggie for me. I checked out your link to Blogilates, thank you for that! It looks excitedly challenging.

  5. I have worn dresses and skirts on a 2 week business trip, but sometimes I just like wearing a good pair of pants! I think I could actually rock that resolution. Happy New Year!

  6. Happy New Year! I haven't been commenting on your blog recently because I took Christmas off from the internet, but all your photos from Christmas look lovely. Sounds like you had a great time.

I'm impressed with letting Jason take control of your clothing choices, just for the letting go act. Is it just for the challenge of it and to see what happens?

Andy and I are buying a wii with our pooled Christmas money. And typical as it may be we both want to get fitter in the new year. And plan a wedding and be proud of myself. :)

I hope your wishes go well!

  9. Hmmm I have a sneaking suspicion I might know what "the unknown" one is ; )

You did great on last year's resolutions. I make it a point not to make resolutions. I figure if I'd wanted to do something I wouldn't wait till the New Year to start. I don't know if that is a good thing or not.

  10. I am so impressed that you didn't wear pants for a year, congrats! I'm interested to see how your new ones work out, especially not being in charge of your shopping. I'm too much of a control freak to try anything like that. Happy New Year xo

  22. I didn't actually have a resolution to never wear pants om 2012, but I did seek to wear dresses and skirts more, and I actually achieved this! Sadly, I'm back to pants now as I'm freezing cold here in OH! I also think it's interesting that Jason gets to pick your clothing. And I wish my hubs would join me on getting healthier! He's got a diet of beer and cigarettes. Oh well. I can't have everything I want! -Jess
